Patricia “Pat” Kimbley Williams, a lifelong resident of Hidalgo county, passed away April 6, 2017, after a 5 year battle with cancer.  She was 71.

Williams, known as PatPat to many, was born in Lordsburg on December 1, 1945, to Bill and Susie Kimbley.  She graduated from Lordsburg High School in 1963 and then attended New Mexico State University where she met her husband of 51 years, Lance Williams.  After Lance's graduation, they settled in Lordsburg where they raised two children, Mark and Tricia.

Pat worked for her parents at their Shell Dealership before going to work for Western Bank.  Later she served as 6th Judicial District Court Clerk until her retirement in 2007.   An active member of First United Methodist Church all her life, she enjoyed singing in the choir and the annual cantata, and served as Treasurer of the church until her death.  She was also an active member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for many years.

She liked traditional country music, enjoyed traveling with friends, and most of all she loved watching her kids and grandkids perform at sporting events and rodeos.

In her final five years, Pat battled cancer the same way she lived her life-with strength and dignity.  She fought very hard and never lost her positive attitude and her enthusiasm for life.  She will be dearly missed by her entire family and her countless number of friends.

She is survived by her husband, Lance, of Animas; her daughter Tricia Washburn and husband, Owen, and their children, Braiden and Tierney, all of Animas; grandchildren Tatum and Teak Williams, of Ireland; her sister Connie Corbell, and husband Gary, of Lordsburg; and nephews Brian Watkins, wife  Caroline, and son Cason of Los Alamos, and Jason Watkins, of Santa Fe.   She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Williams, and her parents, Bill and Susie Kimbley, all of Lordsburg.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 10:00am, at First United Methodist Church in Lordsburg.  Pallbearers include Owen and Braiden Washburn, Brian and Jason Watkins, Gary Corbell and Jimmie DeBusk.  Bright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 210 W. A GARDEN PATH was sent by Donna Hazen.

Pat, was an amazing person. Her incredible sense of humor, laugh, and candid way of saying what she thought - always made me laugh. When I think of Pat, I will always hear her contagious laugh. I love you both - Lance and Tricia. Always, Donna (Harper) Hazen

My best memories of Pat are from our high school days in Lordsburg when we were in marching band. I can still picture Pat (always smiling) leading the band with the other majorettes and drum majorette. I think Rita Smith was the drum majorette. In 1963, the band performed in the Sun Bowl parade in El Paso on a freezing New Year's Day. No complaints about the cold from Pat or the other majorettes in their short skirt uniforms. In 2005 and 2009, we worked with other volunteers on the class reunions of the LHS classes of the 1960s. I give her credit for saving the frames of the senior class pictures from 1960-1969, or else they would've been lost with the demolition of the high school on 4th Street. My sincerest condolences to her family.

We are so sorry for the passing of Ms. Patricia. We hope that the family can find comfort and peac from Gods promise to reunite us with our family and friends by means of an earthly resurrection (John 5:28,29). Isaiah 25:8 offers this reassurance..And he will wipe the tears from all faces, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will swallow up death forever. When this wonderful promise from our Heavenly Father is fulfilled, we will no longer suffer the heartache of losing our loved ones in death.

Pat,
Your friendship, courage and grace will be something I will never forget about you. From the beginning of your illness, and a day after your Good Friday surgery in Albuquerque, when I visited with you and Connie in the hospital - your humor and strength were amazing. You will be missed by many, and I hope your family and friends find your strength to get them through their loss of a extraordinary, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. You will be missed.
